Salvos Prelorentzos Peace Awards
An annual celebration of an individual in Edmonton who has contributed significantly to the cause of peace, but who has not been previously honoured for their work. This year, Linda Dumont is our recipient. She is the Founder and Publisher of Alberta Street News, providing a source of income for people who are marginalized economically. Bob McKeon is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. He has worked tirelessly for social justice in his role with the Edmonton Catholic Archdiocese, has helped created affordable social housing in the inner city, and is a founder of the Inn Roads Housing Co-op.
